€50,000 to Kill the Head of Inter Ultras!

According to reports, the investigation known as “Doppia Curva,” which dismantled the ultras networks of Inter and AC Milan, has taken a new turn. Beyond match-related dealings, the case is now linked to two murders, leading to new arrests.

Vittorio Boiocchi, the historic leader of the Curva Nord (north stand of San Siro), was shot dead by two motorcyclists outside his home in Milan on October 29, 2022. On Thursday, police executed temporary arrest warrants for six suspects involved in the crime. The investigation progressed with the cooperation of Andrea Berta, the former head of Inter’s stands, who has been in prison since September for another murder. He was involved in the killing of Antonio Bellocco, a member of the Calabrian mafia linked to the ultras.

Marcello Viola, the prosecutor, confirmed the arrests of six individuals seriously accused of ordering and carrying out Boiocchi’s murder. The case previously led to a major operation exposing illegal activities in both San Siro stands and documenting Inter ultras’ ties to organized crime. Several suspects face charges of forming a criminal organization with mafia-like aggravations.

    Arrests in Inter Ultras Case

The new arrest warrants include Andrea Berta (now cooperating with authorities), Marco Federico (a key figure in Inter’s stands), his father Gianfranco, another ultra named Christian Ferrari, Pietro Andrea Simoncini, and Daniel Dalesandro. The latter two are believed to be the main perpetrators of Boiocchi’s murder.

Alessandra Dolci, deputy prosecutor of Milan, explained in a press conference that Berta’s confession was pivotal: “He identified himself as the mastermind, citing financial motives and stating that €50,000 was distributed among those involved to carry out the murder and take control of Curva Nord and its profits.”
According to court documents, Berta cited disputes with Boiocchi over profit-sharing from stand activities and merchandise sales. He confirmed assigning the execution to the Federicos, who then tasked Dalesandro (arrested in Bulgaria) and Simoncini (arrested in Calabria). The order was relayed to four others already in prison.
