AC Milan and Major Changes: Tare and Allegri on the Way!

According to reports, AC Milan is in the process of selecting a new sporting director. This decision will shape the future of the team. A meeting between the club’s CEO, Giorgio Furlani, and Igli Tare will also influence the selection of the new head coach. Reports suggest that even if current manager Sergio Conceição wins the Coppa Italia, he will not remain at Milan next season.

If Igli Tare, the former Lazio director, becomes Milan’s sporting director, Massimiliano Allegri will be a serious candidate for the managerial position.

Allegri, like Tare, has been without a team this season and is waiting for the right offer. In January, several Saudi clubs approached him with lucrative offers, but Allegri wants to coach in Serie A. Milan is an attractive option for him, as he previously managed the club between 2011 and 2014, winning Serie A and the Italian Super Cup. He believes the current Milan squad does not require major changes.

    Massimiliano Allegri

Allegri is one of Tare’s preferred coaches, and he is considered one of the best Italian managers. Meanwhile, Fabio Paratici, a key supporter of Antonio Conte, has been ruled out as a candidate for Milan’s managerial role, increasing Allegri’s chances of taking over.

Milan is looking for an Italian coach familiar with Serie A. Past experiences with foreign managers like Paulo Fonseca and Sergio Conceição will not be repeated. Names like Vincenzo Italiano, Maurizio Sarri, and Gian Piero Gasperini are also on the shortlist.

Massimiliano Allegri had a tough spell at Juventus, winning only the Coppa Italia, but he consistently qualified the team for the Champions League and developed young talents. These qualities align with Milan’s current policies.

His last salary at Juventus was around €7 million plus bonuses, which may be too high for Milan, given their recent financial constraints.
