Al-Nassr Finally Wins Without Cristiano Ronaldo!
The Riyadh-based club improved their negative record in the absence of their star captain.
Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia managed to improve their results in the absence of their star captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, securing a hard-fought victory against Damac.
Al-Nassr won 3-2 against Damac in the 29th round of the Saudi Pro League on Tuesday night.
Ronaldo’s absence in this match was due to a rest decision by Italian coach Stefano Pioli, who intends to keep his top scorer fresh for the crucial AFC Champions League quarter-final match against Yokohama F. Marinos of Japan.
Ronaldo has missed six matches in various competitions for Al-Nassr this season. In these matches, the team had only secured one victory—against Al-Hazem in the first round of the King’s Cup.
Additionally, Al-Nassr had drawn three matches and suffered one defeat in the AFC Champions League, along with another draw in the league against Al-Khaleej.
Therefore, this victory against Damac marks Al-Nassr’s second win of the season without Ronaldo and their first league victory in his absence.
