According to reports, Mac Allister, who joined Liverpool from Brighton in 2023, has emerged as a serious transfer target for Real Madrid. Sources indicate that the World Cup-winning midfielder has surpassed Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi on Madrid’s priority list.

However, in an interview with Gaston Edul of TyC Sports, Mac Allister gave a measured response to the recent rumors, keeping his focus on his performances at Anfield. He said: “I read the rumors and hear the news, but what matters is the present. It doesn’t matter how much a club likes me—if I play poorly this weekend, they’ll lose interest.”

This is not the first time the Mac Allister family has addressed transfer rumors. Earlier in April, Carlos Mac Allister, the player’s father, insisted that his son has no intention of leaving Liverpool prematurely and is determined to stay at the club until the end of his contract in 2028.

Alexis Mac Allister confirmed his father’s comments, adding: “I’m happy at Liverpool and don’t feel the need to leave. I have great respect for this club and don’t think it’s necessary to talk about other clubs.”
