Ancelotti: I don't want to know what my future at Real Madrid will be!

According to reports, it was a tough night for Carlo Ancelotti, perhaps his hardest since the 4-0 defeat against Atlético Madrid, but with one key difference. Two years ago, winning the Copa del Rey secured his position. Now, that’s not the case. After losing 3-0 in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals against Arsenal, Real Madrid suffered a 2-1 defeat at the Santiago Bernabéu and were eliminated. His future is now uncertain, though he preferred to focus on the remaining season, where they are still competing for three titles: La Liga, Copa del Rey, and the Club World Cup.

After the match, he was asked about his future and replied:“I don’t know what my future will be, and I don’t want to know.”

When asked about the match, he said:“We needed something to change the game, maybe that penalty that wasn’t given. We needed something. But we must be honest, Arsenal deserved to win both matches. Football has two faces: a happy one and a sad one. We’ve seen the happy one many times, tonight was the sad one.”

Asked again about his future, he continued:“Right now, we’re leading in La Liga, we have the Copa del Rey final ahead, and the Club World Cup. This is an endless season, but we must move on. This is part of football, though we’re not used to it.”

On Kylian Mbappé’s injury and his potential absence in upcoming matches, including the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona, he said:“I don’t know. His injury looked serious, but we must wait for the tests. We’ll know soon.”
