Fan Opinions Don’t Matter, I Have the Dressing Room’s Trust
Ange Postecoglou’s Fury: I Won’t Leave, You Have to Tolerate Me!
Ange Postecoglou sent a defiant message to Tottenham Hotspur fans, stating he will not leave until the end of the season and they have no choice but to tolerate him.
Ange Postecoglou has faced relentless criticism from Tottenham Hotspur fans as the team sits in 15th place in the Premier League, a position unacceptable to supporters.
However, Postecoglou led his team to a 1-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, securing a spot in the Europa League semi-finals. Boosted by this success, he sent a sharp message to fans ahead of their next Premier League match against Nottingham Forest.
Postecoglou stated that no matter how much fans complain, he will remain in charge until the end of the season, and they must endure his presence.
Postecoglou believes reaching the Europa League semi-finals is a significant achievement. After the match against Frankfurt, he initially expressed uncertainty about his future but later clarified his stance.
The Tottenham manager said: “I’ve said before, I’m the same manager I was yesterday. Nothing has changed. Last night’s win doesn’t make me a better or worse manager. We played well, and the fans should enjoy reaching the semi-finals. Their criticism doesn’t affect me—what matters is the dressing room and my players. Their trust means more to me than outside opinions. Unfortunately, you have no choice but to tolerate me.”
