Arnautović to Partner Lautaro: Taremi Returns to the Bench!
Marco Arnautović is expected to partner Lautaro Martínez in Inter Milan’s attack against AS Roma.
According to reports, Marco Arnautović will start alongside Lautaro Martínez in Inter Milan’s upcoming match against AS Roma, scheduled for Sunday. Carlos Augusto and Davide Frattesi are also expected to feature. The match was originally set to take place earlier but was postponed due to mourning ceremonies for Pope Francis.
Some changes in the lineup are mandatory, as Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alessandro Bastoni are suspended. Additionally, Marcus Thuram, Denzel Dumfries, and Piotr Zieliński are injured, though Dumfries and Zieliński might be available on the bench.
Thuram hopes to return for the Champions League semi-final first leg against Barcelona on April 30. Given these circumstances, Carlos Augusto will join the three-man defense, while Davide Frattesi will get a rare chance to start in midfield.
Marco Arnautović is now fit enough to start alongside Lautaro Martínez, as Joaquín Correa performed poorly in last week’s match against Bologna, and Mehdi Taremi failed to make an impact in Inter’s 3-0 loss to AC Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-final on Wednesday.
Inter Milan’s probable lineup against AS Roma: Yann Sommer; Pavard, Francesco Acerbi, Carlos Augusto; Matteo Darmian, Davide Frattesi, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Nicolò Barella, Federico Dimarco; Lautaro Martínez, Marco Arnautović
