Is the Path to Real Madrid Still Open?
Arnold’s Secret Conversation with Liverpool Owner Revealed
A lip-reading expert has revealed the contents of a private conversation between Trent Alexander-Arnold and John Henry, Liverpool’s owner, during the team’s Premier League title celebrations at Anfield.
Liverpool fans closely observed Alexander-Arnold’s celebrations, as he is reportedly close to signing a five-year deal with Real Madrid.
Nicholas Hickling, a forensic researcher, explained that John Henry began the conversation with Alexander-Arnold, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, with these words: “You were quiet. How was everything?”
Alexander-Arnold responded with a nod: “I acted logically.”
Henry raised his hand and, according to Hickling, said: “I want you to do the right thing.”
The 26-year-old English defender, whose contract with Liverpool expires this summer, firmly replied: “Yes, yes.” John Henry then tried to reassure Alexander-Arnold in a friendly tone, saying, “This is the best way, don’t be afraid.” Arnold, one of the leaders of Liverpool’s celebrations, asked, “Do I have to decide?” Henry confirmed, “Of course.” He then pointed toward the fans and told him, “Tell them.”
Meanwhile, after news broke of Alexander-Arnold’s potential move to Real Madrid, Liverpool fans have heavily criticized their star. Some fans expressed their disappointment on social media, even urging manager Arne Slot not to play Arnold for Liverpool again.
Last week, Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool’s captain, admitted that he and his teammates were unaware of Arnold’s future.
