Ready for the Bernabéu Hell
Two Arsenal Stars Return for Real Madrid Clash
Thomas Partey and Ben White, who were injured, participated in today’s training session ahead of the crucial match tomorrow.
According to reports, Arsenal is preparing for the intense atmosphere of the Santiago Bernabéu. Mikel Arteta’s team trained this morning to defend their 3-0 lead from the first leg against Real Madrid.
Sky Sports reports that Ricardo Calafiori was absent from training, but Thomas Partey and Ben White participated. After the training session in London Colney, the Gunners will travel to the Spanish capital, where a pre-match press conference will be held tonight.
Following the draw against Brentford, Arteta discussed the injury status of his players to determine who will be available for upcoming matches: “Regarding Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka, both are in good condition. It was just minor knocks, and they have recovered well, so they will be available for Real Madrid. Ricardo (Calafiori) has also made good progress. It’s hard to determine the exact time of his return, as he still needs to take another step, especially in training with more players and seeing his reaction in such conditions. But he is in a good stage.”
Calafiori, who was injured during the UEFA Nations League quarter-final between Italy and Germany, may return for the final stages of the season. Earlier, it was confirmed that Jorginho would also miss the match against Real Madrid.
