Arteta: I hope my players’ minds are not preoccupied with PSG!
Mikel Arteta, Arsenal’s manager, believes that with so much time remaining until the match against Paris Saint-Germain, it is not logical for his players to be thinking about that game already.
Arsenal drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace in the 34th week of the Premier League, giving their rivals Tottenham the best opportunity to secure the title with just one point.
Mikel Arteta said in the post-match press conference: “We never reached the stability we needed to dominate the game, and when you’re not at your best, it’s natural to lose the lead twice in a row.”
This season, we failed to finish strong in many matches, and small details have caused this. In the second half, we should have had better control, but today that didn’t happen.
Are the players’ minds preoccupied with the PSG match?
I hope not. We still have six days to prepare. We also lost many players who were unable to train.
Gabriel Martinelli’s disallowed goal
I didn’t see it and can’t comment on it.
Thomas Partey’s contract extension
I always give the same answer to such questions: this matter is not related to me.
