First Austrian in English FA Cup Final;
Austrian Manager Makes History by Reaching the Final!
Crystal Palace reached the FA Cup final under Oliver Glasner, who became the first foreign manager in history to guide a team to the FA Cup final.
Crystal Palace, led by Austrian manager Oliver Glasner, reached the FA Cup final after eight years and will now face Manchester City in their quest for their first-ever title in the competition.
Glasner’s team secured a dominant 3-0 victory over Aston Villa to advance to the final, which will be held on May 17 at Wembley Stadium in London. Glasner, who previously won the Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt in 2022, has now also become the first Austrian manager to reach the FA Cup final.
Interestingly, they eliminated Aston Villa, a seven-time FA Cup winner, who were knocked out of both the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup within two weeks.
Glasner took charge of Crystal Palace in February and has since led the team to improved results in the Premier League, currently sitting in 12th place. Now, they have a chance to make history by winning the FA Cup, a tournament they last reached the final of eight years ago, only to lose to Manchester United.
