Barcelona Star Mocks Former Real Madrid Doctor!
Pau Victor reacted humorously to comments made by Real Madrid’s former doctor about Barcelona players wearing wristbands.
According to reports, Niko Mihic, the Croatian doctor and former head of Real Madrid’s medical department (2017-2023), recently criticized Barcelona players for wearing wristbands in an interview with Marca. His sarcastic remarks reached Pau Victor, who has been wearing a wristband on his right hand for years.
Mihic mockingly said: “Maybe they’re designing a strategic game, maybe they play too much table tennis and have tendonitis… or maybe they didn’t bribe Negreira. I don’t know what’s going on, but any doctor knows that if you want easier access to veins, the wrist and hand are the best places.”
These sarcastic comments quickly spread across media and social networks, eventually reaching Pau Victor. The player, who has worn a wristband since his time at Girona’s academy, didn’t leave Mihic’s words unanswered. Although usually inactive on X (formerly Twitter), he responded by posting three laughing emojis, mocking the remarks.
In reality, whether due to superstition or past injuries, players like Lewandowski, Gavi, Raphinha, Frenkie de Jong, Lamine Yamal, and Pau Victor have played with wristbands this season. So far, these bands have been lucky for Barcelona.
