At the start of the second half of the match between Real Madrid and Arsenal, Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice had a minor altercation.
According to reports, Real Madrid and Arsenal faced each other in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. The first leg ended 3-0 in favor of Arsenal, thanks to a brace from Declan Rice and a goal from Mikel Merino, leaving Real Madrid with a tough challenge at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The match started with high tension. In the first half, the referee awarded a penalty to each team. First, Bukayo Saka chipped Arsenal’s penalty, which was saved by Thibaut Courtois, and then Real Madrid’s penalty was overturned after a VAR review.
At the end of the first half, Dani Carvajal and Saka were involved in a scuffle, and at the start of the second half, two other players clashed. In the 51st minute, Rice was in possession when Bellingham tackled him. After clearing the ball, Rice, who fell awkwardly, protested against his England national team teammate and tried to confront him, but the Real Madrid star walked away to avoid escalating the situation.
Shortly after, Bellingham found himself in a great position inside Arsenal’s penalty area and could have scored or created a fantastic opportunity, but Rice arrived from behind with a brilliant tackle to deny his compatriot, responding to the earlier challenge.
