According to reports, Real Madrid hosted Arsenal at the Santiago Bernabéu in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals and lost 2-1.

The team, managed by Carlo Ancelotti, who had lost 3-0 in the first leg in London, only managed to score through Vinícius Júnior last night. Despite Thibaut Courtois saving Bukayo Saka’s penalty, they couldn’t achieve the comeback their fans expected.

Real Madrid had previously managed to overturn first-leg defeats against Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea in past Champions League campaigns. However, last night they were eliminated 5-1 on aggregate by Arsenal, who will now face PSG in the semi-finals.

One of the players who did not speak to reporters after the elimination was Jude Bellingham, who today chose to apologize to fans in an Instagram message.

He apologized to the fans and stated that there are still good opportunities left this season and that they must continue to support the team to achieve the best results.

Bellingham wrote on his Instagram page: “We really didn’t meet the club’s expectations in these two matches. Madridistas, I’m sorry, we understand how much these nights and this competition mean to you. There are still opportunities to save this season, but only if we stay together. Real Madrid will return!”
