Bernardo Silva:
Kevin De Bruyne is the Best Player in Manchester City’s History
Bernardo Silva believes Kevin De Bruyne is the best player in Manchester City’s history and that his departure will take away a part of the club’s soul.
According to reports, Bernardo Silva, the Portuguese winger of Manchester City, believes the team’s underwhelming performance this season is due to insufficient effort and fighting spirit on the pitch. He emphasized the need for change next season.
Silva stated in an interview with ITV: “There is no problem with losing the Premier League or the Champions League, but the real issue is when you don’t fight or compete for titles. I must admit we didn’t fight hard enough this season.
This isn’t about winning or losing because in football, you sometimes lose. What’s unacceptable is not putting in the required effort.”
The absence of Erling Haaland has certainly had an impact, but we are used to adapting to such situations and will continue to play with the same intensity. Of course, Haaland is unique, but his style is similar. He moves well behind defenders and has a strong presence in the penalty area.
Kevin De Bruyne’s departure at the end of the season was something we were aware of, and I knew about his decision two days before. It’s very difficult for me, having played alongside him for eight years, to accept his departure. A part of the club’s soul will leave with him, which is heartbreaking.
In my opinion, he is the best player in the club’s history. The only thing I can say is thank you for all the years he gave to Manchester City.”
