Burgui:
Mourinho Made Me Feel Ashamed in Front of Real Madrid Stars!
Burgui, a former Real Madrid player, spoke about his interesting experience playing under José Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, and Zinedine Zidane at the club.
According to “Varzesh3,” Burgui, who was forced to retire from football at the age of 28 due to a bacterial infection, reflected on his professional career and current events in an interview with AS newspaper.
Burgui played under Zinedine Zidane, Carlo Ancelotti, and José Mourinho. He explained: “Each of them has their own style. Mourinho was very strict; he put you under pressure to bring out the best version of yourself. Ancelotti is much calmer, and Zidane had a huge impact on me. He treated me like his son, encouraged me, advised me, and stayed by my side to help me improve. He was very good to me.”
He shared a memory of Mourinho: “One day, Mourinho formed a circle and completely embarrassed me. He said I had been with the team for two months and still couldn’t speak. He forced me to say a few words, my teammates made a tunnel for me (stood in a row), and from that moment on, my integration into the team improved significantly.”
In this interview, Burgui talked about his transfer to Alavés, his retirement, and the current situation at Real Madrid, particularly the tough challenge they face against Arsenal.
Among all his comments about the current situation, one statement stood out where he believes Ancelotti should stay at Real Madrid. He said: “In my opinion, yes, under any circumstances. We’ll have to see how the season ends, but he is a coach who has earned our trust. Of course, at Real Madrid, not everyone can tolerate a bad year, but Ancelotti has given so much to this club. Even if he doesn’t win a major trophy, he should stay.”
