Camp Nou One Step Closer to Inauguration: Turf Planting Begins
FC Barcelona has announced the start of the final phase of Camp Nou’s renovation: turf planting on the stadium pitch.
According to reports, the reconstruction of Camp Nou is progressing at maximum speed. Over 3,500 workers are engaged to complete the stadium as soon as possible. Today, positive news emerged from the stadium.
Barcelona shared a video on social media announcing that the long-awaited final phase of reconstruction has begun. The club revealed that the process of laying the pitch turf started today.
Although the reconstruction took significantly longer than initially announced, the final shape of the new Camp Nou is now becoming visible.
In addition to the turf planting, 360-degree scaffolding has been installed around the stadium, indicating that the roof installation will soon commence.
The images released today not only show the pitch but also reveal that the entire stadium has taken its final shape. Work on the VIP seats, which caused significant controversy between La Liga and Barcelona over the registration of Dani Olmo’s contract, is also largely complete.
