According to reports, Antoine Griezmann will stay at Atletico Madrid for at least another season.

As previously reported, the French player had the option to extend his stay with the team until 2026, the year his contract with Atletico expires.

Marca reported on Sunday that alongside confirming the possible contract extension for Koke, Atletico’s plan was to extend Griezmann’s collaboration beyond the current season. This plan assumes Griezmann, like Koke, may accept a role with reduced playing time.

After recent negotiations, it seems Griezmann’s story has reached its conclusion. His wish to stay at Atletico will be fulfilled, and there is even a conditional option for him to continue beyond 2026, as reported by Relovo and confirmed by Marca.

Most importantly, Griezmann’s presence next season is assured. Although he is currently in his weakest form in a long time, his undeniable quality can still be valuable under Diego Simeone, who has supported the No. 7 in the toughest moments.
