Cristiano Ronaldo accepts defeat: We must improve
Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese star of Al Nassr, had an interesting reaction to his team’s defeat against Al Qadsiah.
Al Nassr faced Al Qadsiah on Friday in the 28th round of the Saudi Pro League and lost 2-1, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring the winning goal for his team.
With this defeat, Al Nassr is now eight points behind the league leaders with only six matches remaining in the season. Ronaldo played the full 90 minutes but failed to score, while Sadio Mane netted for Stefano Pioli’s team.
Ronaldo, who seems to have accepted another failure in winning the title this season, posted on social media after the match: “Every game is an opportunity to grow. Together, Al Nassr!”
The Portuguese star is the league’s top scorer this season with 23 goals in 27 matches. English striker Ivan Toney is third in the rankings, while Karim Benzema and Aubameyang are also among the top 10 scorers.
