According to reports, David Villa, former Barcelona and Spain striker, who remains a beloved figure in Spain—especially among Barça fans—spoke about Barcelona’s current form and their progress to the Champions League semifinals under Hansi Flick while attending tennis matches in Qatar.

When asked about Real Madrid’s recent match against Arsenal, Villa said: “I believe Arsenal played exceptionally well. They didn’t allow Real Madrid to even think about a comeback, despite all the hype.”

Villa added that no matter the atmosphere at the Bernabéu, a comeback was impossible: “The key to Arsenal’s advancement was the first leg. Last night, a comeback was never on the cards. Even with Real’s history of miraculous comebacks, it was clear from the start that it wouldn’t happen this time. Again, Arsenal had already sealed it in the first leg.”
