Tottenham lost 2-1 at home to Nottingham Forest in their final match of the 33rd round of the Premier League, continuing their poor form under manager Ange Postecoglou.

Nuno Espírito Santo’s men got off to a fantastic start, scoring the opening goal in the 5th minute through Elliot Anderson. Five minutes later, their star striker Chris Wood found the net, but the referee disallowed the goal after a VAR review, leaving the score at 1-0 to Forest.

However, Forest soon doubled their lead, with Chris Wood scoring a legitimate goal in the 16th minute, beating goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario to make it 2-0.

Postecoglou’s side pushed hard to recover but failed to make an impact in the first half, with the visitors leading 2-0 at halftime.

In the second half, Tottenham dominated possession and created numerous chances, but Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels made several crucial saves to keep his team ahead.

Tottenham’s pressure finally paid off in the 87th minute when Richarlison headed in a perfect cross from Pedro Porro to make it 2-1.

Postecoglou’s men had more opportunities in stoppage time, but Sels’ heroics ensured Forest held on for a crucial 2-1 victory.

A brilliant corner from the right and a poor clearance by Vicario led to Anderson’s stunning strike from outside the box in the 5th minute.

Tottenham 0-2 Forest: 

A fantastic cross from Anthony Elanga and Vicario’s mistake allowed Chris Wood to head home in the 16th minute.

Tottenham 1-2 Forest: 

Richarlison scored with a perfect header from Pedro Porro’s cross in the 87th minute.
