Desire Doue:
I’m Not Mbappe and I’m Going My Own Way!
Desire Doue, the 19-year-old winger of Paris Saint-Germain, claimed he has no interest in being compared to Kylian Mbappe.
Desire Doue has been one of the standout players in Paris Saint-Germain’s impressive season, having scored twelve goals and provided eight assists in 42 appearances for PSG so far.
His performances have been enough to make some PSG fans forget about Kylian Mbappe’s departure, as the emergence of a new star has overshadowed Mbappe’s absence in PSG’s dream season.
However, the young Parisian star is not pleased with being compared to Kylian Mbappe and does not want to be seen as similar to the current Real Madrid and France national team star.
Doue told Telefoot about being compared to Mbappe: “I’ve heard a lot about these comparisons, but I am Desire Doue, and Mbappe is Mbappe. He is an extraordinary player who has achieved a lot in football, but I am trying to find my own path.”
Doue is only 19 years old and joined Paris Saint-Germain last year on a five-year contract after shining at Rennes. He was also part of the French Olympic team at the 2024 Olympics and made his senior national team debut last month.
