Eduardo Camavinga Out for Three Months: Club World Cup Dreams Dashed
Eduardo Camavinga, Real Madrid’s midfielder, will be sidelined for at least three months due to injury.
According to reports, Eduardo Camavinga, who came on as a substitute for David Alaba in the second half against Getafe, collapsed in the 89th minute with groin pain.
This happened when he was trying to launch a counterattack but suffered an injury after a collision with Luis Milla. Since Real Madrid had already used all five substitutions, Camavinga left the field, and the team finished the match with 10 players.
Real Madrid officially announced Eduardo Camavinga’s injury: “Complete tear of the left adductor tendon.” Based on initial assessments by the club’s medical team, the French midfielder will be out for at least three months. This injury deals a heavy blow to Carlo Ancelotti’s plans for the critical final stages of the season.
This injury is the latest in a series of physical setbacks for Eduardo Camavinga. In January 2025, he suffered a left hamstring strain during a Copa del Rey match against Celta Vigo and was sidelined for about three weeks. With this new injury, the season is effectively over for Real Madrid’s No. 6, and his participation in the Club World Cup is also ruled out.
Camavinga must now begin the recovery process to hopefully be ready for the start of the next season. However, this injury is a significant and bitter setback for both Real Madrid and the young French midfielder.
