Electricity Cut Off at Famous Portuguese Club’s Stadium
The electricity at Boavista’s home stadium was cut off due to unpaid debts, forcing the team to relocate their training sessions.
According to reports, Boavista FC is facing an unexpected crisis ahead of their crucial match against Sporting Lisbon.
As reported by A Bola, since Wednesday afternoon, the electricity at the team’s home stadium, Estádio do Bessa, has been cut off due to unpaid debts by the club. As a result, Boavista has been forced to move their training sessions to another location.
The report states that the accumulated debts under the presidency of Ricardo Sá Pinto are the main reason for this sudden power cut. Following this incident, the club’s management, led by Farai Faye, quickly intervened to find a temporary solution for the team’s training sessions.
Accordingly, Boavista players have started their preparations for the upcoming match against Sporting Lisbon in the city of Esmoriz, as their home stadium is currently unusable due to the power outage.
However, the home match against Sporting Lisbon at Estádio do Bessa will directly depend on the full settlement of the outstanding debts and the restoration of electricity. A Bola also reported that they have contacted Ricardo Sá Pinto, the president of Boavista, for further details and are awaiting an official response.
