Season Over for Kylian’s Brother
Ethan Mbappe’s Tears: Carried Off on a Stretcher!
Ethan Mbappe suffered a severe injury just four minutes into the match against Angers and was carried off on a stretcher.
According to reports, Ethan Mbappe lasted only four minutes on the pitch in Lille’s match against Angers (2-0). The younger brother of Kylian Mbappe came on in the second half but was injured shortly after due to a muscle issue. He was carried off on a stretcher, and it appears his season is over.
Bruno Génésio, Lille’s head coach, said after the match: “Regarding Ethan, the news is very bad. I feel very sorry for him. He worked hard to come back, and now his hamstring is injured again. It’s really tough.” The young winger was seen crying, covering his head with his hands as he left the pitch.
Ethan, just 18 years old, has struggled with multiple injuries in his first season with Lille. He joined Lille as a free agent last summer after leaving Paris Saint-Germain. This season, he has played only 14 matches, totaling less than 300 minutes, and started just twice.
Due to injuries, he has missed 24 matches and been sidelined for a total of 146 days.
