Chiesa Set to Become Fenerbahce Winger
Jose Mourinho’s First Target from Liverpool Arrives!
According to ASpor, Jose Mourinho has informed Fenerbahce’s management of his top transfer target: Federico Chiesa.
Fenerbahce, currently trailing Galatasaray by 5 points in the Turkish Super Lig with only a few weeks remaining, is unlikely to clinch the title. Jose Mourinho, who will remain as Fenerbahce’s manager next season, has already begun assembling his ideal squad.
Mourinho has alternated between a three-man and four-man defense this season. He has emphasized to Fenerbahce’s board that the lack of quality wingers has been a major issue and insists on signing a top-class winger this summer.
ASpor reports that Mourinho is seeking world-class wingers and has already identified his primary target in England. This season, Mourinho has utilized Oğuz Aydın and Allan Saint-Maximin as wingers but is not entirely satisfied with their performances.
ASpor claims Mourinho recently placed the name of an Italian star on Fenerbahce’s president’s desk: Federico Chiesa. The Italian winger has not been a regular under Arne Slot at Liverpool this season and reportedly wants to leave this summer.
Chiesa has made only 12 appearances for Liverpool this season, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists.
ASpor states that Liverpool demands at least €10 million for Chiesa, while Fenerbahce hopes to negotiate a lower fee. Liverpool signed the Italian star last summer for €12 million.
