Flick’s Anger Over Barcelona Stars’ Late Training Session (Photo)
Hans-Dieter Flick, Barcelona’s head coach, was furious with his players for arriving late to training.
According to reports, Hans-Dieter Flick has emphasized discipline as a fundamental principle since taking charge of Barcelona. A video from today’s morning training session showed players like Lamine Yamal, Ansu Fati, Fermín, and Iñigo Martínez experiencing his strict approach.
The incident began when these four players casually arrived late for the morning session, while Flick was already waiting on the field. Yamal even jokingly struck a pose reminiscent of Cristiano Ronaldo, but the German coach, who does not tolerate tardiness, immediately reprimanded them.
Meanwhile, Gavi arrived earlier than the others and warned his teammates about Flick’s anger, urging them to hurry.
Flick has made it clear from the start that discipline is a priority for him. He has set a rule that if training starts at 11:00, even a three-second delay is unacceptable. Previously, players like Jules Koundé and backup goalkeeper Iñaki Peña have fallen victim to Flick’s strict rules and lost their spots in the lineup.
Pau Víctor, one of Barcelona’s players, commented on the German coach’s rules: “When I arrived, the rules were already in place. I was warned that Flick is obsessive about punctuality. Even if you’re three seconds late, in his eyes, you’re late.”
