The scorer of Barcelona’s second goal against Real Madrid in tonight’s final was very happy but said they must now focus on Inter and the treble.
According to reports, Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 3-2 in an intense final that lasted 120 minutes to win the Copa del Rey. This was the second final of the season where Barcelona took the trophy from Real. Real was leading until the 83rd minute, but a mistake from Thibaut Courtois gave Frenkie de Jong the chance to equalize, and he scored the decisive third goal in the 116th minute.
De Jong said after the match: “It was a great moment to bring joy to the fans. Enjoy it, but not too much, because the Champions League semi-final is coming up.”
On the decisive goal and being the top scorer: “I try to be consistent. I have the talent to finish things.”
