Thierry Henry, the Arsenal legend, says Mohamed Salah is having such a brilliant season at Liverpool that he already deserves the title of “Liverpool legend.”

These comments from Thierry Henry came as Salah, immediately after renewing his contract with Liverpool, provided an assist in his team’s victory over West Ham, surpassing Henry’s record for goal contributions in a single season.

This is not the only record Salah has recently broken. The 32-year-old Liverpool star has been breaking Premier League and Liverpool records one after another. Salah has now surpassed Henry’s single-season goal contribution record, but Thierry says he, having extended his contract for two more years, can also break Henry’s all-time Premier League record.

Thierry Henry, praising Liverpool’s Egyptian star, said:“Salah is no longer a surprise. A big star who is always expected to shine. You know he is getting closer to his second Premier League title, and if that happens, which I believe it will, no one will have played a bigger role in this championship than him, even more than Arne Slot.”

Henry, who is himself considered a legend of Arsenal and the Premier League, added:“This Mohamed Salah, with the brilliance we see from him especially this season, truly deserves the title of legend. He is a legend, in the truest sense of the word.”

Mohamed Salah, whose contract renewal negotiations with Liverpool had worried fans since the start of the season, can now focus more calmly on the remaining six games after extending his stay at Liverpool until 2027. A season that, if it ends with Liverpool’s championship, will elevate Salah to a status beyond what he has achieved so far.
