Inzaghi’s Bad Luck: Marcus Thuram Injured
Inter Milan confirmed that Marcus Thuram suffered an injury after the match against Bayern Munich.
Inter Milan officially announced that Marcus Thuram suffered muscle fatigue in his left thigh, and his condition will be evaluated daily.
The French striker underwent medical examinations at the Istituto Clinico Humanitas in Rozzano on Thursday. The club stated in an official release: “Tests revealed Thuram has muscle fatigue in his left thigh. His condition will be monitored daily.”
Thuram appeared exhausted after the 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, which secured Inter’s place in the semi-finals.
Inter’s next Serie A match is against Bologna, who are fifth in the table, at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium. The Nerazzurri will then face AC Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg on April 23.
With a chance to win a treble, Inter’s schedule is extremely congested, and they may play up to 11 matches in the final six weeks of the season.
Marcus Thuram has scored 17 goals and provided nine assists in 44 appearances this season.
