Jorge Jesus: Al-Hilal Will Return to Their Dominant Days
The Al-Hilal coach expressed hope that his team would return to their peak and powerful form.
According to reports, Al-Hilal defeated Al-Khaleej 3-0 last night in the 28th round of the Saudi Pro League. Following Al-Ittihad’s 2-0 loss, the gap between the Blues and Benzema’s team at the top of the table has now been reduced to four points.
Jorge Jesus, the Portuguese coach of Al-Hilal, expressed his full satisfaction with his team’s performance and result against Al-Khaleej, saying: “We achieved our goal; we scored three beautiful goals and kept a clean sheet.”
He emphasized that Al-Hilal is on the path to returning to the same powerful, fierce, and dangerous team that their fans expect. Jesus added: “The return of Alexander Mitrovic at this stage of the season will be a tremendous boost for the team, especially now that we are entering the final stretch of the league competitions.”
He also revealed details of his halftime conversation with Mitrovic, saying: “I told him to stay calm and composed. After the chances he missed in the first half, I assured him that he would eventually score.”
Jesus also explained Joao Cancelo’s return after a long absence: “After a long break due to injury, I decided to give Cancelo about 30 minutes of play to gradually regain his physical fitness. I am sure he will improve with time.”
The Al-Hilal coach concluded his remarks: “We had enough time to prepare between this match and the previous one. This allowed us to enter the field in good condition and deliver a balanced and effective performance.”
