Joshua Zirkzee’s Taunting Message to Manchester United Fans (Photo)
Joshua Zirkzee posted a sarcastic message aimed at Manchester United fans who left Old Trafford before the end of the match.
Zirkzee, who is unable to play for Manchester United until the end of the season due to injury, was present at Old Trafford on Thursday night and witnessed the historic comeback of the Red Devils in their 5-4 victory over Lyon in the Europa League quarter-finals.
United led by two goals in the first half but conceded two in the second half. Then, the 10-man visitors made it 4-2 in extra time before Bruno Fernandes pulled one back, followed by goals from Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire in the 120th minute.
These events occurred while some United fans left Old Trafford when Alexandre Lacazette scored Lyon’s fourth goal in the 109th minute, as they did not believe Rúben Amorim’s team could turn the situation around.
Zirkzee criticized the fans who missed the team’s epic comeback by posting a video on his Instagram story, showing them what they had missed. He shared a video of the celebrating fans at Old Trafford and wrote: “To all the fans who left when we were behind, listen to this sound… my hair stood on end!”
