Jović Prevents Inter from Achieving a Treble!
Luka Jović scored twice in the Milan derby, temporarily ending Inter’s hopes of reaching the Coppa Italia final.
The Derby della Madonnina at San Siro was full of excitement. The second half of the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg between Inter Milan and AC Milan saw Milan leading 2-0.
Inter started aggressively, creating chances with Mehdi Taremi upfront, but they trailed at halftime. Luka Jović became the star, scoring against Inter.
In the 36th minute, Jović headed in a cross from Alex Jiménez, beating Matteo Darmian to put Milan ahead.
Jović struck again in the second half. AC Milan, pushing for a bigger lead, found success quickly. Another assist led to Jović’s second goal.
In the 49th minute, Christian Pulisic’s corner found Jović, whose shot deflected off Darmian before he calmly converted the rebound.
AC Milan, struggling in Serie A, now sees themselves in the Coppa Italia final thanks to Jović, who has become their savior. Meanwhile, Inter, competing for the league and Champions League, dreams of a treble this season.
