Karim Benzema Returns for Al-Ittihad’s Title Push
Karim Benzema has returned to group training with Al-Ittihad ahead of their match against Al-Fateh.
According to reports, Karim Benzema, the experienced captain of Al-Ittihad, participated in group training on Tuesday, giving the Saudi Pro League leaders a boost ahead of their crucial 28th-round match against Al-Fateh.
Benzema, who suffered a knee injury during last week’s match against Al-Orobah, has now fully recovered and rejoined training. His return is a significant advantage for Al-Ittihad as they prepare for Thursday’s clash with Al-Fateh.
Karim Benzema has played in 24 matches for Al-Ittihad this season in the Saudi Pro League, scoring 17 goals and providing 8 assists. At 37 years old, he remains a key player under manager Laurent Blanc.
Al-Ittihad’s training session on Tuesday was led by French coach Laurent Blanc, who focused on technical aspects. The team’s final training session before the Al-Fateh match will take place on Wednesday before they travel to Al-Ahsa.
Al-Ittihad currently leads the Saudi Pro League with 65 points, while Al-Fateh sits in 14th place with 26 points.
