Former Teammate of German Coach Claims:
Klopp’s Dream is to Coach Real Madrid!
Miroslav Tango says Jurgen Klopp has always dreamed of coaching Real Madrid.
According to reports, rumors surrounding the bench of Real Madrid are rapidly increasing. Although Carlo Ancelotti may be the best coach in Real Madrid’s history, it seems his second spell at the Santiago Bernabéu is coming to an end.
Speculation about Ancelotti’s potential successors has already begun. While Xabi Alonso is in a strong position at Bayer Leverkusen, there has also been talk of considering Jurgen Klopp, the global football director of Red Bull. The latest comments came from Klopp’s former teammate at Mainz in the 1990s, Miroslav Tango.
The current coach of Serbian club Vojvodina stated that Klopp once told him he dreamed of coaching the German national team and Real Madrid: “What Klopp told me when he left Liverpool was that he had two dreams: coaching the national team and Real Madrid. I don’t know if either will come true.”
He also ruled out Klopp coaching in Serie A, Ligue 1, or any other Premier League club: “He is undoubtedly one of the candidates for Real Madrid’s bench, but right now, all of this is just speculation. I also know he never saw himself coaching any other English club besides Liverpool. He doesn’t want to coach in Serie A or France, and I think at some point, he will become the German national team coach.”
Finally, Tango claimed that Klopp has not yet set a timeline for returning to coaching: “We’ve had conversations, but right now, he is a global ambassador for Red Bull and works with clubs in this group worldwide. He’s not really thinking about coaching. Whether he gets tired of this role and returns to the bench or not, even he doesn’t know yet.”
