His Coaching at Real Madrid is Impossible
Klopp’s Return Condition: Only If They Beg Him!
A former Liverpool star revealed when Jurgen Klopp might return to football and which team he could manage.
According to reports, a rumor has recently excited the football world. The possibility of Jurgen Klopp returning to coaching—and not just any team, but Real Madrid.
Klopp, who last season announced that he felt drained and could no longer handle the intense pressures of coaching at the highest level, bid farewell to Liverpool. A few months later, he was appointed as Red Bull’s football director, but recent claims suggest Klopp has grown tired of being away from the dugout and intends to coach again.
Marcus Babbel, a former Liverpool star and longtime friend of Klopp, spoke about these rumors today and answered two key questions based on conversations with Klopp himself: Does Jurgen Klopp really want to return to coaching? And if so, which team would he like to manage?
Marcus Babbel said: “If you ask me, considering all aspects, I doubt Jurgen will return to coaching. Some say Klopp wants to return to Liverpool, but not as a coach—as a sporting director. No, that won’t happen. Another important issue is Klopp coaching Real Madrid. If Real has really offered him the job, I don’t know, but based on our conversations, I can tell you Jurgen will not replace Carlo Ancelotti at Real.”
The former Liverpool star continued, explaining why Klopp left Liverpool: “Jurgen left coaching because he lacked the energy. The pressure of coaching at the highest level of football had become too much for him. The pressure on Real Madrid’s manager is far greater than Liverpool’s. How could he possibly want to go to Madrid? At Real, if you lose two or even one game, you’re in trouble. Look at Ancelotti now. Klopp has a calm and beautiful life now and enjoys it. He says he enjoys his role at Red Bull. The rumors that he’s tired of his position at Red Bull are completely untrue. From what I see, his role at Red Bull is ideal for him. He doesn’t need to go to training every day and deal with players. As far as I can see, he’s enjoying life and won’t go anywhere.”
However, Klopp’s friend added which team Klopp would choose if he ever decides to coach again: “The only thing I think is possible is that if he ever wants to coach again, he’ll choose a national team. Maybe the German national team, if Nagelsmann decides to join a club. If that happens and the entire German football community begs Klopp, he might change his mind and accept the Mannschaft. But I’m sure Jurgen won’t coach a club again.”
