Kroos: Don’t Treat Rudiger Like He’s a Murderer!
Toni Kroos, former Real Madrid midfielder, believes that despite Antonio Rudiger’s big mistake after El Clasico, the reactions from fans and media should not be excessive.
According to reports, at the end of the thrilling El Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona, which ended 3-2 in favor of Barcelona in extra time, Antonio Rudiger has been heavily criticized for his behavior after the match.
This incident sparked numerous reactions, with many calling for severe disciplinary action against the German defender of Real Madrid. Additionally, most prominent figures in German football and fans believe that this experienced defender should no longer be called up to the national team.
Meanwhile, Toni Kroos, former Real Madrid player and 2014 World Cup champion with Germany, commented on the incident during the Icon League event. While acknowledging Rudiger’s big mistake, he warned against the excessive criticism.
Kroos said: “I think the images clearly show everything. It was a big mistake, and Rudiger himself knows it. I even messaged him after the game.
Rudiger is aware of his mistake. He will receive his punishment, and it will be completely justified. But we shouldn’t act as if he has murdered someone.”
