Liverpool Star’s Interesting Choice: Caicedo Above Rodri!
Alexis Mac Allister made an interesting selection regarding the toughest opponents he has faced.
According to “Varzesh3,” Mac Allister appeared on Sky Sports’ “Saturday Social” program and was asked to choose the toughest opponents he has ever faced.
The Argentine player chose his former Brighton teammate but explicitly claimed that Rodri is a better player than the other three. His decision to place Caicedo in first place was due to the Ecuadorian player’s exceptional physical attributes, which Mac Allister said distinguished him as a special talent from a young age.
Mac Allister stated in this conversation: “I was in the same dressing room as Caicedo; he was an incredible player and very strong physically. The physical aspect is the hardest part. Whether with or without the ball, he is very good—a very complete player.”
The Liverpool star, on placing Rodri in third place, said: “This doesn’t mean I don’t value Rodri! Exactly the opposite. He deserved the Ballon d’Or; he is an incredible player. He is not the toughest opponent because he doesn’t hold onto the ball. He always plays with one or two touches, and you can’t even get close to him. I ranked him based on physical attributes.”
Mac Allister also placed Declan Rice in second place in this ranking.
