We Feel Terrible
Losing to Barcelona with an Own Goal is Tough!
Tapia, the Peruvian player of Leganés, expressed regret in an interview with DAZN about the narrow defeat against Barcelona due to a defensive mistake.
According to “Varzesh3,” Tapia praised his team’s spirit against Barcelona despite the 0-1 loss and warned opponents: “Anyone who thinks they can easily defeat us is mistaken—we fight until the end.”
How do you feel after the loss?
It’s tough. It’s a complicated feeling. In the first half, we had two clear chances—one for Raba and one for Alti. In the second half, Diego had another opportunity against an attacking Barcelona, but we weren’t decisive enough. We played an incredible game. The first half was amazing, and so was the second. But we ended up empty-handed. It’s a terrible feeling when you lose due to an own goal.
Balancing defense and attack is difficult, isn’t it?
We’ve improved a lot. We’ve shown that in other games too. This feeling is terrible because you give everything. The boys gave their all, the game demanded it, but we ended up with nothing.
From now on, and certainly for a long time, we will go into every remaining game to win and give everything we have.
