Lúcio:
I Will Support Both Inter and Bayern Simultaneously Tomorrow Night!
Lúcio, former Bayern Munich and Inter defender, says he will support both teams in the crucial second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals tomorrow night.
According to reports, Inter will host Bayern Munich tomorrow night in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals. The first leg at the Allianz Arena ended in a 2-1 victory for the Italian side, giving Simone Inzaghi’s squad a better chance of advancing to the next round.
This match will be particularly emotional for Lúcio, as two of his former clubs face off against each other.
The 47-year-old Brazilian, who also played for Bayer Leverkusen, spent five seasons at Bayern Munich before joining Inter in 2009, where he played for three seasons.
The former Bayern and Inter star was asked how he feels ahead of this crucial match, and he said:“To be honest, it’s difficult for me to choose. Inter and Bayern are both clubs where I played and made history. That’s why, when Inter and Bayern face each other on Wednesday, my heart is divided. I hope the best team advances. I had incredible moments at every club I played for, and I don’t want to commit to just one of them. My five years at Bayern played a major role in shaping my career; I won many trophies there. At Inter, I achieved my lifelong dream of winning the Champions League. The treble in 2010 and the Club World Cup victory were unforgettable moments.”
He also spoke about Thomas Müller, who is set to leave Bayern at the end of the season:“I had the honor of playing with Thomas Müller at the beginning of his career at Bayern. He is still an exceptional player and showed his quality in the first leg. His presence is also psychologically important for Bayern, as he is an experienced and high-quality player. That’s why I believe his presence in the second leg against Inter will be decisive.”
