According to reports, Antony has found new life since leaving Manchester United in the winter transfer window and joining Real Betis on loan. In 16 matches, he has scored four goals and provided four assists.

Antony’s temporary move to Spain came after he struggled at Old Trafford following his £85 million transfer from Ajax in 2022. The Brazilian forward was sidelined under both Erik ten Hag and Amorim.

In total, Antony scored only 12 goals and provided five assists in 96 appearances for the Red Devils, despite being the club’s second-most expensive signing. The Daily Mail previously reported that there is no clear indication Manchester United will permanently part ways with the Brazilian forward this summer.

However, it seems there is no resentment from the player towards Manchester United or its manager. In an interview with ESPN Brazil, when asked about Amorim’s performance and character, Antony stated: “I worked with Amorim for a short time, but he is a very good coach. A very smart coach.

Manchester United is going through a tough time right now, but I believe he is a good coach. I had a good relationship with him, but I needed a new challenge for myself and wish him the best for the rest of the season.”
