The report states that Manchester United executives believe offering Rashford plus a significant fee could boost their chances of signing Watkins in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal has also shown strong interest in Watkins, submitting a £60 million bid for the Aston Villa striker in January, which was swiftly rejected by their Premier League rivals.
