According to reports, Paris Saint-Germain, under the management of Luis Enrique, has had a brilliant season, not only winning Ligue 1 and reaching the Coupe de France final but also being on the verge of advancing to the UEFA Champions League semifinals.

Verratti, in an interview with French network ‘Canal Plus,’ spoke about his former team’s performance: “Naturally, I wish for Paris Saint-Germain to win the Champions League this season, but they must focus on each game individually, as they are currently doing.”

The Italian midfielder added: “They must enjoy every match. They have an extraordinary performance and should not look too far ahead, as every game in the Champions League is difficult, and every minute counts.”

“I think PSG has realized that they must be patient and calm, while also having full faith in their ability to win the title.”

Verratti wore the Paris Saint-Germain jersey for 11 seasons before joining Qatar’s Al-Arabi SC in the summer of 2023.

Verratti’s greatest achievement with PSG in European competitions was reaching the Champions League final in 2020 and then the semifinals in 2021.
