Morgan Rogers: Only We Can Make a Comeback Against PSG

Aston Villa will host Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) at Villa Park in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

The first leg at Parc des Princes ended in a 3-1 victory for the French side, giving Luis Enrique’s team a significant advantage heading into the return fixture.

However, as Unai Emery, Aston Villa’s manager, stated in the press conference, Morgan Rogers confirmed that they have not given up and still believe in their chances of progressing.

Morgan Rogers spoke about Aston Villa’s mindset ahead of the match:“There’s a lot of belief in the dressing room. I know most people wrote us off before this tie. But in the first leg, we showed good moments. Of course, there were things to improve, but now we know PSG better. We have a big task ahead.”

    Home Advantage and Comeback Chances?

Playing at home, under the lights, in the quarter-finals of this competition is an incredible experience. If anyone can turn the tie around, it’s us! It’s up to us, and we’re excited for the challenge. I know it’s a tough task, and I’m not saying we’ll definitely win, but we’ll give everything and go into the match to win.

    On Unai Emery:

The manager unites us and reminds us that even if we’re not in the starting lineup, we shouldn’t be upset. We have goals and a mission to achieve, and there’s no time for disappointment. Honestly, the players have been fantastic.

    Reaching the Champions League Quarter-Finals:

We got here sooner than anyone expected, but we know we deserve to be here. We have great faith in the team, the manager, and the coaching staff. We’re not here by accident. This season, we’ve fought every battle and earned our place. Some might think we don’t belong here, but we disagree. We fully deserve to be here, and we must keep pushing. We’re only focused on this game, facing PSG, and trying to win. If you overthink the situation, you won’t perform at your best. I don’t think we need to worry about that right now.
