Bayern is a big and historic club
Muller: What a sweet record, especially on the verge of championship
Thomas Muller says Bayern Munich, like a big historic team, has forgotten the bitter elimination from the Champions League and is now on the verge of winning the Bundesliga.
According to “Varzesh3,” Bayern Munich today at the Allianz Arena defeated Mainz 3-0 and is now one step away from the Bundesliga title. Given Bayern’s superior goal difference, even a draw in the next match will secure their championship.
After the match, Sky asked Thomas Muller: “Did you expect Bayern to bounce back so quickly after the bitter elimination from the Champions League and now be on the verge of winning the Bundesliga?”
Muller said, given his knowledge of Bayern and the club’s history, he was not surprised: “Yes, we expected it. That’s Bayern. After elimination from the Champions League, we played two very good matches and showed that this team wants the title. I wasn’t surprised at all because I know this club.”
Thomas Muller continued to praise his teammates and today’s match: “We have every right to be happy with today’s game. Most of the match was under our control, except for a few moments when we lost the ball easily. But I think we could have scored more goals.”
Thomas Muller came on in the 84th minute to play his 500th Bundesliga match. Muller told Sky about this record: “It’s a sweet record. The first time I played in this league, I didn’t think I would one day reach such a milestone with Bayern. This record wouldn’t have been possible without the help of all my past and present teammates.”
