Napoli Director:
We Don’t Care If We Don’t Win Serie A!
Giovanni Manna, the director of Napoli, emphasized that the team should not be pressured in the race for the Serie A title, as the Scudetto is their dream.
According to reports, Napoli is currently in second place, chasing Inter Milan, the Serie A leaders, but has only secured two victories in their last nine matches. Despite this situation, the club’s management does not criticize coach Ricardo Sá Pinto and believes they are on the right path.
Manna told DAZN: “Every season is long and has many difficult moments. We just need to get through these moments, as we are doing now. We are fighting for a dream, so we should not feel excessive pressure. There is no pressure on us, and we just need to focus on our daily work.
We should be proud of ourselves. We started from a position far from the top and built a team from scratch. We are in a position where we can dream, but we must remain calm and not be affected by pressure. Pressure exists, but it should not be negative. We must have the desire to win every game. The Scudetto is our dream, and we are fighting for it, but not achieving it should not weigh on us, and we should not say that we must win it at all costs.”
While there are rumors about Napoli’s future, especially regarding the team’s coach, Manna does not want to think too far ahead.
He concluded: “We are completely focused on the present. Like all teams, we are working for the future, and we will plan for it at the right time. But for now, our focus is solely on the present because we are competing for an important goal.”
