Leeds has returned to the Premier League, and the club’s owners have stated that they intend to be one of the most active clubs in the summer transfer market, assembling a team capable of challenging the Premier League’s elite. One of Leeds’ Brazilian players has a special suggestion for the club’s management: sign Neymar.

Junior Firpo has been one of Leeds’ most important stars this season, playing a key role in their promotion from the Championship. The Brazilian full-back, who previously played for Barcelona, says that since Neymar wants to play in Europe before the World Cup and Leeds also intends to sign world-class stars, Neymar would be an ideal option for Leeds.

Firpo joined Leeds from Barcelona when the club was in the Premier League. Now back in the top flight, he told Marca: “If I could, I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment and would bring Neymar to Leeds. Neymar wants to play in Europe, and our managers are looking to spend in the summer. I wish this would happen because it would greatly benefit us.”

Neymar is currently in his home country, playing for Santos. At 33, he says the 2026 World Cup will be his last. In an interview, Neymar stated that he has only one mission: to lead Brazil to victory in the World Cup. According to Brazilian media reports, Neymar wants to play in a top European league next season, either permanently or on loan, to remain in the spotlight and ensure his call-up to the national team.
