With the Mission to Save Cardiff from Relegation
Official: Aaron Ramsey Returns to Football as Manager
Aaron Ramsey, the Arsenal and Wales national team legend, has been appointed as the new manager of Cardiff City to save the team from relegation.
According to reports, Cardiff City, currently 23rd in the English Championship and on the verge of relegation, has appointed Aaron Ramsey as manager after sacking their previous coach, Omar Reza. Ramsey must save the historic Cardiff City from relegation in the remaining three matches of the season.
Omar Reza was dismissed immediately after Cardiff’s 2-0 loss to Sheffield United. The 34-year-old Ramsey must now prepare his team for the upcoming three matches. His first game as Cardiff manager will be against Oxford United.
Cardiff City’s official statement read: “We have decided to part ways with Omar Reza as the first-team manager. Aaron Ramsey will take charge as manager for the remaining three Championship matches this season. We thank Omar Reza for his efforts and wish him success in his future career.”
This will be Aaron Ramsey’s first experience as a first-team manager. Cardiff City is the Welsh football star’s boyhood club.
Ramsey is Cardiff’s third manager this season. They started the season with Erol Bulut, but he was sacked after six games due to earning only one point. Omar Reza replaced him, but Cardiff now faces relegation, prompting the appointment of Ramsey as their last hope.
