Official: Neymar’s Coach Fired After Four Months!
Pedro Caixinha, the Portuguese coach of Santos, was officially dismissed due to poor results in the first three weeks of the Brazilian Serie A.
According to reports, Santos officially announced the dismissal of Pedro Caixinha, the 54-year-old Portuguese coach, following last night’s defeat against Fluminense in the third round of the Brazilian Serie A. His replacement will be announced soon.
Under Caixinha’s leadership, Santos has only managed to secure one point from three matches this season. The loss against Fluminense was the final straw, prompting the club’s management to confirm his dismissal.
Caixinha was appointed as Santos’ head coach just four months ago. During his tenure, he oversaw 18 matches, resulting in seven wins, four draws, and seven losses.
According to Brazilian newspaper Globo Esporte, Tite, the former coach of the Brazilian national team who has a close relationship with Neymar, along with Jorge Sampaoli and Dorival Júnior, are the top candidates to replace Caixinha.
It is worth noting that the 54-year-old Caixinha previously managed clubs such as Al-Shabab (Saudi Arabia), Al-Gharafa (Qatar), and served as an assistant at Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia).
