Official: Yassine Bounou extends contract with Al-Hilal until 2026
Yassine Bounou’s contract with Al-Hilal has been extended for one more season until summer 2026.
According to reports, Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia has officially announced the extension of Yassine Bounou’s contract until summer 2026, meaning the Moroccan international goalkeeper will continue his football career in Saudi Arabia until at least age 35.
The 34-year-old Bounou joined Al-Hilal in summer 2023 after three consistent years and 90 appearances with Sevilla. In the last two seasons, he has made 56 appearances for Asia’s most decorated club.
He has also been a regular member of the Morocco national team since 2013, earning 73 caps in various competitions including two consecutive World Cups.
His contract extension with Al-Hilal comes amid recent rumors about the potential departure of manager Jorge Jesus and the possible appointment of Razvan Lucescu.
This season in the Saudi Pro League, despite an early-season injury, Bounou has played in 25 matches and also appeared in eight AFC Champions League games for Al-Hilal.
